YELLOW JADE and RED CHALCEDONY BRACELET (Calendula)

The ancient Romans named this plant Calendula because they noticed that it was blooming on the first day of every month (calends). It was a symbol of joy and happiness in their gardens, and because it provided them with a continuous supply of flowers and tender leaves. Calendula has been a garden favorite for centuries, with yellow golden blooms and red centers of splendid color.

The Designer Calendula Bracelet was inspired by the colorful blooms of the Calendula flower. Polished Yellow Jade coin shape Gemstones, Red Chalcedony heart shape Gemstones, drenched in 925 Sterling Silver beads and handcrafted Sterling Silver beads from Bali. The Romantic Designer Bracelet was created with high quality faceted Black Onyx rondelle shape and teardrop shape gemstones, and with faceted Blue Lace Agate gemstones and just the right touch of Red Fluorite round faceted gemstones, to bring out the beautiful color in the floral lampwork. Bali Sterling Silver beads and spacers and 925 Sterling Silver smooth round beads. Karen Hill Tribe Sterling Silver bead caps.

The gorgeous focal in this design, is a floral Lampwork, and was created by the talented Artist Lynn Bauter, with a base of black with flowers in light blue, amethyst, dark violet and ink blue with fuchsia roses and little buds in light purple.

YELLOW JADE and PINK RHODONITE BRACELET (Cyprus Gardens)

Cypress Gardens became a showplace for 8,000 varieties of flowers from over 90 different countries, and I believe that it was one of the most beautiful places on earth. The famous gardens closed down last year, but I will long remember strolling winding paths through hundreds of trees that provided a canopy over colorful landscape and blooms, sparkling waterfall along Topiary Trails. (so glad we took lots of photos). The Plantation was home to four more traditional gardens, including herb, vegetable, rose and butterfly gardens. In the long-time tradition of Cypress Gardens, the Southern Belles strolled the lawns welcoming guests. The most robust and colorful floral landscapes were my inspiration for the Designer "Cyprus Gardens" Jewelry.
